Don't Forget to poop!

The human body works in sophisticated ways - which i always find amusing from the smallest cell to the organs and the neurons in our brains. The human body has 11 major organ systems, each handles different but connected functions.

One major organ system is the digestive system which breaks down food, absorbs nutrients, and eliminates waste. After digestion and absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, we are left with water, fiber & indigestible stuff.

The large intestine pulls out the water and electrolytes and the remaining becomes more solid, microbes in our colon break down some leftover fiber hence producing gas and certain vitamins.

The rectum stores the stool until stretch receptors signal that it’s time to go. Then the muscles in the rectum and anus coordinate with the nervous system. Letting us relax the internal and external anal sphincters and finally stool passes out.

Writing this down seems like a very simple process but it has its own complications, but before moving out lets take two scenarios into account : When one eats bad food & When one holds on

  1. When one eats bad food : Instead of the smooth process we saw above our digestive system goes on emergency routine, leading to less absorption and more water in our stool. Taking extra immune activity we get inflammation and discomfort. In worst case scenario we experience diarrhea or vomiting all done for the body to protect itself.
  2. When one holds on : Our colon absorbs more water leading the stool to get harder - our rectum stretches even more leading to constipation and pain.

Well, i guess that’s enough high school biology refresher - so what is the point i am trying to make here ? telling you to poop (How despicable and inappropriate of me). We leave in quite an exciting time right now, quoting my favorite line from Mr. robot

“Exciting time in the world right now. Exciting time.”

Information overload is nothing new, brain rot has become a trend, misinformation is the bible of the times, procrastination, anxiety, depression, stress, polarization and so on have become the markers of the current generation. It’s not that nobody wants to fix it but the methods of going about to fix it that i think are posing the problem.

All that one needs to do is poop (Create quite ironic forcing you to read about digestive system and saying to poop means to create in this context, i have a good sense of humor what can i do). We consume vasts amount of information day in and day out - every second is filled with a snippet of information whether useful or useless but all we have been doing for the longest it consume, consume and not create, which leads us down the roads of misery. Looking back at the digestive system when a person consumes and does nothing it all leads down to pain and other complications and we are already at that stage, so the simple cure -

be it anything just output something grind your gears stress your brain the fuck out on a simple hobby could be your garden or your new teleportation device (foreshadowing.. ahem) but never forget as to what happens when a person eats bad food the outcome is never good (not that i’m saying there are standards for poop quality … or is there … idk i’m not a poop doctor), but create endlessly don’t just consume.

I have been reading a lot of blogs technical to philosophical and neglecting mine until all the information in my brain started (…okay here is the reveal i am coining a term.. just wait) Information Constipation (tada…!!!) (Oh im such a genius) and to avoid that i am going to start creating, so should you too.
