The Grind Continues: On Writing Too Many Series at Once
I have this problem where I cannot do one thing at a time.
It is not a flex. It is a condition. I will be working on one project and my brain will wander to a completely different project and suddenly I am three paragraphs into a post about something else entirely and the original document is still sitting there with its cursor blinking at me like “hello? remember me?”
So I decided to embrace the chaos. Instead of fighting the urge to write everything at once, I am just going to write everything at once. Multiple series. Multiple topics. Multiple rabbit holes. At the same time. Like a man juggling chainsaws while riding a unicycle. What could go wrong.
Here is the roadmap. No spoilers. Just enough to know what is coming.
Propaganda 101 (ongoing) Already started.(the series that i have not forgotten, like how could I forget a series I started in 2023 like what) The art of manipulation, the science of control, and why you should be suspicious of everything you read. Ten parts. By the end you will trust nothing. That is the goal.
Thinkers You Should Know twenty people (the number might grow in the future but for now just this is enough to keep me insane) who will rearrange your furniture. Philosophers, revolutionaries, poets, and one guy who wrote his most important book in a fascist prison using smuggled notebooks. Each post comes with a starter book recommendation so you can go deeper if you want. Or you can just read my summary and pretend you read the book. I will not tell anyone. ( I sometimes do that … ahem what)
The Art of the Coup Eight posts about how countries overthrow their governments. Classical coups, modern coups, failed coups, color revolutions, and how to tell if your own country is about to have one. This is not a how-to guide. It is a how-to-spot guide. Keep it handy.
Cyber Hygiene 101 Everything your uncle does not know about staying safe online. Passwords, phishing, encryption, social media privacy, opsec, backups, public Wi-Fi, and threat modeling. Eight posts. By the end you will have changed at least three passwords.
Personal Finance for the Third World Seven posts about managing money when your currency is unstable, your banks are unreliable, and the traditional financial advice was written for people in countries where things actually work. Inflation, foreign currency, real estate, side hustles, and the uncomfortable question of when to leave.
The Worst Takes of All Time Ten opinions that should never have been said out loud. Slavery apologists, WMD truthers, trickle-down believers, colonial apologists, AI utopians, market fundamentalists, and the guy who said history ended right before history got really interesting. Each post is an autopsy of a bad idea.
That is five new series plus the one I already started. About 87 posts total. All written or being written in a feverish sprint while the milk (coffee would have been nice but i don’t do coffee anymore) burns and the cursor blinks.
Will I finish all of them? Who knows. But I will die trying. Or at least I will die with a lot of half-finished drafts, which is basically the same thing.
I do not know why I am acting like I am unemployed and I don’t got enough to work on damn…
Side note, the numbers are set so that I do not slack off and hit them in order to achieve what I want because 2 can also be considered a series technically speaking, SO basically what I am saying is there might be more than 7 or 8 specific posts but I guess we will never know.
